Yup! I've moved a whole 10 miles to a new house. Just got my computer up and running. Quite a lot of work planning, packing, coordinating everything, let me tell you. However this move brings good news for PW!
My new house qualifies for Verizon FIOS, which, if you haven't heard of it, is a fiber optic connection to your house. Verizon is the only major telecommunications company doing this in the United States. I have purchased a business connection with 5 static IP addresses. For the same price, I get the same speed as I do with my colocation, except I am not limited by rackspace. I can now include all of the computers I have at home (well not all of them...) to support PW. By delegating different parts of PW to different computers, I will be able to more easily manage and update different parts when they need it. At some point in the next few months, I will be bringing the PW server home and integrating it with the rest of my servers. At that time, I will also be upgrading the forum software to the latest version and resolve the outstanding issues on the website. Later on down the road I hope to be able to spend time working on a new client that is more reliable and supports multiple games (i.e. Supreme Commander.) Things should get interesting soon.
