    New to PW

Thought I'd drop by quickly and say hi to everyone here.  I can't tell you how refreshing it is to come back after a four year hiatus from TA to find a community, small or not, still functioning somewhere.

When I first started playing semi-competetively online in 2000 I was lucky enough to get mentored by an ARMX smurf (I hope he was in ARMX, I haven't spoken to the guy for 6 years but I wouldn't want him coming after me lol).  Ah well, here's back to being a noob.

    Cheers.

We love getting new people here!  If you need help with anything or just have a question, just msg me on Battle.net my username is xgmx and I ussually play on U.S. West.  Or you can try and find me on PhoeniX WorX or WarZone, but I'm not on that much any more, I prefer StarCraft: Brood War over Total Annihilation.

    Re: New to PW

I was just about to whip out the beatin' stick over that blasphemous outburst before I realized that my copy of Brood War is sitting on my desk as well.  Who knows, maybe I'll catch up with you there for a game?  We should start a contest to see how many different games you can school me in within, say, a 24 hour period.  Nothing says "Welcome to the forums!" like a good ass whomping Smile

Other games where my skill has dropped to zero (assuming it ever raised above a zero, mind you) due to my work, rising interest rates, and my wife's love of MMOs include such titles as Battlefield 1942, Counterstrike, Quake/Unreal Tournament and any other FPS that allows you to blow up people, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, any Command and Conquer, and Age of *insert any title here*.  Just about anything else, really, that doesn't require 5 hours of collecting petals to turn in to a hat, because someone in a town that is an hour's run away wanted a new hat before they'd send you to their sick relative who needs you to butcher 500 pidgeons to get their gall bladders to make into a remedy et cetera.

You try playing any MMO exclusively for three years and then tell me you don't just want to D-cannon the jeebus out of tiny, pixelated robots lol.

Here's hoping for a Total Annihilation Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, eh?

    Speaking of blasphemy.

I'll try to hop on Brood War a little later and see if you're around, xgmx.  Hopefully you play Protoss, nothing warms my heart like watching 50 zerglings gunned down in about three seconds.  Call me a massochist, I am married after all Smile

And Sub, you know damn well you'd spend $20 a month on the TAMMORPG, who wouldn't want to spend 15 hours a day collecting pebbles to upgrade their EMG?
